Groundwork

This is a necessity for any garage, extension or new building of any type. This is often a messy quite disturbing sight depending on our British weather. So time of year to break the ground is something worth thinking about.

Be it a concrete base for a garden shed or a five bedroom house, some form of excavation will be required. Be it drains, a new septic tank or provision for rainwater. Over the years we have completed a lot of ground works from underpinning houses to raft foundations and lots of steel re-inforcing work. With ground works comes excavated material. Can this be lost on site or does it need to be taken away?

There is often much to be considered with this crucially important but not very exciting part of the build.
